Bihar’s iconic Bapu Tower marked its second foundation day on October 2, 2026, coinciding with the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The occasion was marked by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary at Gardanibagh, Patna, with the unveiling of a bust of Mahatma Gandhi, the launch of an online ticketing facility for visitors and the release of the second issue of the Satyagraha bulletin.

Speaking on Gandhi Jayanti, the Chief Minister highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of making India a leading nation in the world and emphasised the continued relevance of his ideals.

The five-storey Bapu Tower was originally inaugurated by the then Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar on October 2, 2024, on Gandhi Jayanti. Built as a landmark dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the Tower presents his life, philosophy and association with Bihar, including the historic Champaran Satyagraha, through galleries and immersive audiovisual experiences.

CSM Technologies Builds Bapu Tower’s Digital Gateway

Adding a digital dimension to this landmark, CSM Technologies, in consortium with TechIT, has designed and developed the official Bapu Tower website, creating a digital gateway to the monument and its rich heritage.

The website brings together information about Bapu Tower, its galleries, exhibits, attractions and visitor experience, while providing audiences with an accessible digital window into Mahatma Gandhi’s life and his historic association with Bihar.

The platform is designed to take the Bapu Tower experience beyond its physical premises, enabling citizens, tourists, students, researchers and history enthusiasts to discover the landmark and explore its stories online. With information on the Tower and its visitor experience available digitally, the website also serves as an important interface for audiences planning their visit.

The introduction of online ticketing further strengthens Bapu Tower’s digital visitor journey, making access more convenient and reflecting the growing role of technology in creating seamless experiences around public and cultural assets.

Bringing Heritage Closer Through Technology

Bapu Tower stands out for its distinctive architecture and experiential approach to presenting history. Spread across a seven-acre campus, the landmark features galleries dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, a theatre, auditorium and audiovisual experiences that bring important chapters of his life and Bihar’s role in the freedom movement to audiences.

The digital platform complements this physical experience by making the Tower’s stories, information and visitor services accessible beyond its walls.

For CSM Technologies, the project represents an extension of its GovTech capabilities into the cultural and heritage domain, using technology to make public assets more accessible, informative and engaging.

By combining digital experience, content and visitor-focused services, CSM Technologies and TechIT are helping establish Bapu Tower not only as a physical landmark celebrating Gandhi’s legacy, but also as a connected digital destination for audiences across India and beyond.
