CSM’s Paddy Analytics and Health Scheme Monitoring System bags the ET Government Digitech Award 2023

It’s a proud moment for the state and CSM to win the most prestigious ET Government DigiTech Awards for two of its breakthrough innovations in agriculture and healthcare. Paddy Analytics received recognition in the category of Digital Initiatives in Agriculture for Odisha Space Applications Centre (ORSAC), The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare (FSCW) Department, Government of Odisha. And BSKY (Biju Swathya Kalyan Yoajana) application, an integrated healthcare scheme monitoring system won the award in the category of Adoption of digital technology in areas of Health for the Electronics & Information Technology Department,  Government of Odisha.

The 4th DigiTech Awards 2023 was held on 4th to 6th August at Grand Hyatt in Goa.The Award ceremony was organized by ET Government. ETGovernment.com is an initiative of The Economic Times, which is a comprehensive media vertical offering news, views, information, data, tools, events and services to decision-makers, influencers and niche readers interested in the overall development happening in the government sector.

ETGovernment DigiTech Awards has been instituted to recognize the innovative digital initiatives to not only enable governance & services on demand but also to empower citizens. The DigiTech Awards provide an opportunity to bring to the fore such transformative innovation and promote Digital India. The platform honours excellence in the implementation of technology-driven initiatives to encourage innovative digital solutions by government entities.

CSM’s Paddy analytics for the FSCW department of Odisha entails large-volume GIS mapping and Geo-reference of Hal Cadastral Maps, interpretation and analysis of High-Resolution temporal Satellite Images. The use of satellite imagery for the validation of paddy crops streamlined the procurement process and ensured maximum transparency and participation of genuine farmers. Due to the detection of 2,40,902 number of plots covering 1,37,963 acres of land without paddy cultivation, there were estimated savings of Rs. 654.6 Crores in MSP expenditure.

CSM developed and implemented the BSKY application for the Govt. of Odisha. It is an integrated centralized platform which helped to automate the transaction and claim process at the hospital and ensure smooth monitoring of the implementation of the BSKY scheme. The system incorporates the Claim, Hospital Transaction System, Hospital Empanelment, Grievance, Hospital Inspection etc. Therefore, the users of the system are benefited from well-coordinated and integrated activities which are automated in a single centralized system. The system is designed, developed and implemented as a web monitoring system for BSKY (SHAS) for real-time monitoring of the claims raised, transactions done as well as the status of the treatment and card balance. The system has benefited the citizens of Odisha to avail healthcare facilities seamlessly with a total transaction of 20,4376 to date.
