Project AURA

Autism Upskilling and Resource Accessibility Building sustainable employability for individuals with autism

CSM Tech proudly introduces Project AURA — a pioneering CSR initiative designed to empower neurodiverse talent, especially individuals with autism, by creating pathways to dignified and sustainable employment.

With an estimated 18 million+ people living with autism in India, yet only 5–10% meaningfully employed, Project AURA aims to bridge this critical gap. By partnering with Pahal Multipurpose Social Services Organisation, a leader in disability inclusion, we are working to establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) for employability of individuals with autism.

Why Project AURA?

Despite unique strengths like attention to detail, pattern recognition, and deep focus, individuals with autism often face barriers in skill recognition, training, and workplace inclusion. Global success stories — from Microsoft and SAP to JPMorgan Chase — show that inclusive hiring can boost productivity by up to 30% in specific roles. Yet, structured interventions in India remain limited.

Project AURA is our commitment to change this narrative — not as charity, but as a data-driven movement rooted in equity, capability, and opportunity.

What We’re Doing

Project AURA follows a phased, research-driven approach:

  • Global benchmarking & stakeholder consultations to learn from proven models
  • Mapping:
    • Vocational advisors & career counsellors who can identify unique neurodiverse strengths
    • Specialized training institutes for skill development
    • Inclusive employers & job roles suited to neurodiverse talent
    • Workplace coordinators to support sustainable integration
  • Developing a practical handbook and guidelines for setting up the CoE
  • Designing frameworks aligned with job market demand, ensuring individual strengths translate into meaningful employment

Impact We Envision

  • Create a structured talent pipeline for corporates to embrace neurodiversity
  • Help neurodivergent youth build self-reliance and reduce stigma
  • Foster inclusive, productive workplaces aligned with global ESG goals
  • Provide government, industry, and society with a scalable blueprint for inclusion

More Than a Study – A Movement

Project AURA isn’t just research — it’s a call to recognize, value, and empower the unique talents of individuals with autism. The upcoming CoE will be a lighthouse for sustainable inclusion, industry partnerships, and policy-level change.“Through AURA, we reaffirm our commitment to building an equitable society where ability is valued over disability.”
