P-PAS and Farmer Registration bags the National e-Governance Award 2015-16

Paddy Procurement Automation System (P-PAS) & Farmer Registration has once again received the National e-Governance Award 2015-16( SILVER AWARD) from Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis at the 19th National Conference on e-Governance held at Nagpur. The award is in recognition for Outstanding Performance in Citizen-Centric Services. P-PAS & Farmer Registration project is an initiative of the Principal Secretary, Department of Food Supply & Consumer Welfare, which has been pedantically designed and developed by CSM Tech.

After Punjab, Odisha is the 2nd highest in paddy procurement. Every year paddy procured from over seven lakh farmers in more than 3,000 ‘Mandis’ in Kharif and Rabi season. Through this application all transactions of the procurement operation, starting from arrival of a farmer with paddy to delivery of paddy to millers and payment of paddy cost to farmers is digitized.
