The much-anticipated CSM Synapse 4.0 concluded with an electrifying Grand State Finale at the Guru Kelu Charan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre, Bhubaneswar, bringing the curtain down on weeks of intense quizzing across Odisha.
Organized by CSM Tech in association with Quizcraft Global Knowledge Solutions, and hosted by India’s quiz icon Adittya Nath Mubayi, this year’s edition took the competition to new heights with zonal rounds across the state, conducted by seasoned quizmaster Bivash Rath, leading up to the finale.
Journey Through the Zones
The road to the finale began in July 2025, with zonal rounds held in three regions:
Central Zone – 21 July 2025
Winner: KIIT International School (Adweya Sarangi & Swastika Mishra)
Runner-up: DAV Unit 8, Bhubaneswar (Saumya Sai Dash & Swaddhaya Kanungo)
With 90 teams participating, the competition was fierce, showcasing some of the sharpest young minds in the region.
North Zone – 23 July 2025
Winner: St. Paul’s School (Arnab Ghosh & Anwesh Ranjan Pradhan)
Runner-up: DPS Rourkela (Ekansh Tripathi & Abhijit Pradhan)
Over 50 teams competed in a high-energy contest, making it a memorable round.
South Zone – 25 July 2025
Winner: OAV Chamakhandi (Biswajit Mishra & Ranjita Sahu)
Runner-up: Takshashila School (Soumya Ranjan Choudhury & Sai Krishna Maharana)
More than 50 teams battled it out in an electrifying atmosphere at Gyana Vikash School.
From each zone, the top two teams advanced to the Grand State Finale, making up the final six.
The Grand State Finale – 1 August 2025
The finale brought together Odisha’s brightest young quizzers for a multimedia quiz battle packed with progressive clues, audio-visual challenges, and lightning rounds.
After a gripping contest, KIIT International School emerged as the CSM Synapse 2025 Champion, winning the ₹2,00,000 cash prize.
DPS Rourkela secured the Runner-up position, taking home ₹25,000.
Other finalists—DAV Unit 8, Bhubaneswar, OAV Chamakhandi, St. Paul’s School, Rourkela, and Takshashila School—displayed remarkable knowledge, teamwork, and composure under pressure.
Words of Inspiration
The finale was graced by Chief Guest Commander Sushanta Kumar Mohanty, Commanding Officer of Naval NCC, who encouraged students to channel their curiosity and learning into nation-building.
CSM Tech Founder & CEO, Mr. Priyadarshi Nanu Pany, congratulated all participants and announced plans to expand Synapse into a national-level competition in the next edition.
Quizmaster Adittya Nath Mubayi urged students to view quizzing as a habit of curiosity, not just competition.
