CSM Lighthouse is set to host an insightful webinar titled “Designing for the Senses: The Importance of Sensory Parks for Individuals with Autism” on 2nd May 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The session will be conducted online and is open to all participants at no cost.

The webinar aims to highlight the growing importance of sensory-friendly environments in supporting individuals on the autism spectrum. With increasing awareness around neurodiversity, the need for thoughtfully designed spaces that cater to diverse sensory needs has become more relevant than ever.

The session will be led by Bankim Kalra, who will share insights into how sensory parks can play a transformative role in enhancing emotional wellbeing, improving engagement, and supporting the daily experiences of autistic individuals.

Sensory parks are designed to provide calming and stimulating experiences through elements such as textures, sounds, colors, and interactive installations. These environments can significantly aid in emotional regulation and create a more inclusive and supportive setting for individuals with autism.

Through this webinar, participants will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • The role of sensory parks in inclusive community development
  • The impact of environment on behaviour and wellbeing
  • Practical perspectives on designing sensory-friendly spaces
